Terms of Service

Version 2.3 · Effective 29 September 2026

These terms cover oda. Using oda means accepting them. Questions go to support@oda-daily.com.

1. What oda is

oda is a personal-finance ledger that runs entirely inside your web browser. It records what you enter and calculates from it. It is a tool for keeping your own books, not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and nothing it displays is a recommendation. Decisions you take about your money are yours.

2. It is free, and there is no account

oda is free to use, permanently, with no account and no payment. There is nothing to subscribe to, no tier to upgrade to and no feature held back. We do not ask who you are, and we could not charge you if we wanted to.

There is no service running behind the app, so there is nothing for us to suspend, rate-limit or withdraw from you individually.

The app’s About page may show a way to support oda with money, through Whish or in USDT. It is entirely voluntary, it is a gift rather than a purchase, and it unlocks nothing: the app is the same whether or not you give, and it has no way of knowing whether you did. The payment happens with that provider, under their terms, and not in oda.

3. Your data is yours, and so is keeping it

Your ledger is stored by your browser, on your device, and we never receive a copy. This means we cannot lose it — and equally that we cannot recover it.

Clearing your browser's storage for this site, uninstalling the browser, or losing the device deletes the ledger permanently. The workbook export on the Data page is your backup, it is the only backup that exists, and making it is your responsibility. We strongly recommend exporting regularly and keeping the file somewhere you trust.

4. Availability

The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be available, that it will be free of defects, or that a calculation will suit your circumstances. We may change or discontinue it at any time; a copy already installed in your browser will keep working offline, and the source remains public.

5. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of oda. As nothing is paid for oda, no refund or monetary remedy is available. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you rights that these terms cannot exclude, those rights apply and are unaffected by this section.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use oda unlawfully, and do not attempt to interfere with the site that serves it. The application runs on your own machine, so the practical scope of this is small.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. There is no mailing list to notify, because there are no accounts; the version and date at the top say which terms are current, and the previous versions remain in the project's public source history. Continuing to use oda after a change means accepting it.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

Who runs oda

oda is provided by Oda, a company based in Lebanon (“Oda”, “we”, “us”). Write to support@oda-daily.com.
