Local-first ledger
Privacy Policy
Version 2.3 · Effective 29 September 2026
oda collects nothing about you. There is no account, no server and nothing to sign in to. Your ledger is a database inside your own browser, and it never leaves it unless you export it yourself.
This policy is short because there is very little to describe. Questions go to support@oda-daily.com.
What is on your device
Everything you enter — amounts, dates, descriptions, categories, debts, assets, goals and plans — is stored by your browser on your own machine, in its origin-private file system. Your settings (currency, theme, language) are stored the same way. None of it is transmitted anywhere. We have no copy, no backup and no way to obtain one.
Because it lives in your browser's storage, clearing that browser's site data deletes it, and nobody can restore it for you. The export on the Data page is your backup and it is the only one that exists. Where you keep the exported file is up to you, and we are not involved in it.
What we do not do
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or session recording.
- No cookies, advertising identifiers or tracking pixels of any kind.
- No third-party scripts. The page loads nothing but its own files.
- No profiling and no automated decision-making.
- Nothing is sold, shared or disclosed, because nothing is collected.
The one request that does happen
To use oda your browser has to download it, the same way it downloads any website. That request goes to our hosting provider, Cloudflare, who see what any web server sees: an IP address, a timestamp, the file requested and your browser's user-agent. They process this on our behalf to deliver the page and to keep the service up, under their own data-processing terms, and it is the only personal data connected with oda that reaches anybody but you.
After the first visit the app works with the network switched off entirely, because it installs itself for offline use. Nothing about your ledger is in any of those requests at any point.
If you support oda
The app’s About page may link to a way to give money, through Whish or in USDT. Following that link takes you to the provider, who handle the payment and whatever details it needs under their own privacy terms. oda sends them nothing and learns nothing back: the app does not know whether you paid. We see what the provider shows any recipient — typically a name or wallet address and an amount — and use it for nothing but our own records.
If you email us
Mail to support@oda-daily.com is routed by Cloudflare to a personal mailbox. If you write to us we hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. That is the only circumstance in which we hold anything of yours at all.
Your rights
Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, it gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. We can honour all of them instantly, for the unusual reason that we hold nothing: there is no account to look up and no record to produce.
Your own data is already entirely under your control — export it from the Data page in an ordinary spreadsheet format, or erase all of it from the same page. Neither action asks our permission, because neither passes through us. If you have written to support and want that correspondence deleted, ask and it will be.
You may complain to your local supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been breached.
Children
oda is not directed at children under 13. As nothing is collected, no personal data of a child can be collected through use of the app.
Changes
There is no mailing list to notify, because there are no accounts. If this policy changes the version and date at the top change with it, and the previous versions remain in the project's public source history.
Who is responsible
oda is provided by Oda, a company based in Lebanon, which is responsible for the little personal data described here — in practice, the email you send if you write to support@oda-daily.com.
